Special edition of a painting printed on larch wood. Special made for the occasion of the wedding of my sister on 3 november 2016
A process of making spots, stains with ecoline and tearing, sewing newspaper, photo’s. Combinig, placing, replacing, attaching. From a blanc tablecloth paper ( appr. 100cm x 140cm ) to creating a new image of a place i’ve never been before.

In these works I tried to create another world by using and mixing useless things or trash that I found lying on the pavement. I took photo’s of different ordinary things that caught my attention, sometimes by color, texture or shape. It seems that all these things evoke emotion. By placing them in a new order or composition and taking them from the floor to the wall they made a new world to me.
Pavement Three 2016, Collage of stitched newspaper with inkt, acryl, conté. 90cmx150cm

Pavement Two 2016, Inkt op news papier, acryl, conté and photo. 100 x 60 cm.

Pavement One with Spooky 2016, Inkt on newspaper, combined with acryl paint and conté. 120cm x 120cm

These are different works on paper, made with inkt, aquarel and pastel. All images are fiction and are originated from a newspaper photo of a girl sleeping on a hospital bed. When I started to draw, paint, the image of the person became another person with a different character. Due to a combination of material, choice of paper, expression and making choices in the actual image i’m creating, I could make a different work each day.

Tissuebox, 70 x 100 cm, oostindisch inkt op papier, januari 2016, August Robin Peters
Fotopapier, acrylverf.
